The Watson Firm in Pensacola, Florida — has filed four separate lawsuits against Sunshine Investments of Northwest Florida doing business as Wild Greg’s Saloon. Two of the company’s employees, Kurt Just and Kory Moegenburg, a manager and bouncer, respectively, were also named as defendants in the assault and battery cases.
The allegations stem from a May 4th, 2018 incident where the plaintiffs — Christian Walker, Corey Hicks, Brady Pitts, and James Danin — sought entry into Wild Greg’s Saloon, a country-themed nightclub in Downtown Pensacola. According to the complaint, the plaintiffs were denied access into the club and were met with racial slurs by its staff. The complaint further alleges that after the men attempted to leave the entryway to the club, its manager, Just, chased them onto South Palafox Street and began to assault them with pepper-spray. At the same time, the bouncer, Moegenburg, began to repeatedly kick and hit both Christian Walker and Corey Hicks. Just and Moegenburg were subsequently arrested and charged for their actions.
